One of the challenges of illustrating to represent "live action" footage is what to do when the concept calls for a mix of live and animated elements in the same frame. Often the solution is to try and eliminate as much line from the illustration which represents the "live" portion and deliberately add extra line weight to the "animated" or cartoon portions. Sometimes the trick is to leave all rendering out of the animated elements so that they stand out as a separate, flat element.
